As soon as a TLD domain name expires, the registry will
remove it from its zone file, which will render all web applications
and emails connected
to the domain name un-resolvable. It is therefore important
that you renew your domain names on time and before their expire
date.
We do our utmost to inform on the upcoming renewal of the domain name.
We sent our first reminder email 30 days (i.e. 1 month)
prior to the expiry date of the domain, followed by another
reminder email 14 days
(i.e. 2 weeks) prior to the expiry. Domains that are not
renewed by the date of the expiry shall be deactivated.
It is therefore important
to ensure prompt renewal and that you keep your contact
information and email address current and up-to-date. We
are not liable for unsuccessful
renewal including but not limited to email delivery failure
of renewal notifications.
RGP
RGP stands for Redemption Grace Period. The Redemption Grace Period is a thirty (30) day period that begins after a registrar requests that the registry delete a domain name. The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has required that registries implement this facility to allow the original registrants (domain name holders) to redeem a deleted name. The reason for the introduction of the RGP process is to provide additional time to catch erroneous deletions before the name is made available for re-registration. When a name enters RGP, it is removed from the zone file (if it was originally in the zone file). As a result, any Internet services served by the domain name will be disabled (e.g. e-mail or a Web site). The registrant must act IMMEDIATELY if he or she wants to keep the name.
RHP
RHP Stands for
Redemption Hold Period.
Following the deletion of a name by the sponsoring registrar, if this registrar does not request that the name be restored during the 30-day RGP, then the name enters a Redemption Hold Period, or RHP. RHP lasts for five (5) days, and during this time the name is locked. After five (5) days, the name will become available for re-registration. Once the name enters RHP, the prior registrant cannot renew it.
Domains managed by resellers
Renewal notification is sent to the reseller 30 days
prior to the expiry date of the domain, followed by another
reminder email 14 days before expiration. Resellers bears
the responsibility to inform and renew domain names on
behalf of its customers. If the domains are not renewed
by the 14th day prior to their expiry, the registrant,
admin contact, and billing contact of the domains will
be notified accordingly.
Domains directly managed by registrants i.e. not managed
by resellers
Renewal notification is sent to the registrant 30 days
prior to the expiry date of the domain, followed by another
reminder email 14 days before expiration. If the domains
are not renewed by the 14th day prior to their expiry,
the registrant, admin contact, and billing contact of
the domains will be notified accordingly.
